Sex Scams
Typically the sex workers do
not run scams, all they want is
to get you done as quickly as
possible, with no hassles and on
to the next.
Most of the scams are run by the
Costa Rican men (Ticos) who
primarily prey on the gringos of
"Gringo Gulch", the area
immediate to the Hotel Del Rey,
Key Largo and the Horseshoe
Casino, who will assure that he
can arrange for a girl and
transportation to your hotel or
the beach.
Reports to police include the
driver and the girl to be
working with the scamster to
separate you from your money and
other valuables and will not
flinch at using violence. Or,
the driver who stops to a have a
few drinks before and during the
drive to the beach.
In some cases the girls
themselves run their own version
of a scam, offering you a
"deal", a two for the price of
one or she can't go with you
without her girlfriend. Can you
