The term zorra is
so inappropriate, when applied to
commercial sex workers. According to the dictionary
a zorra or slut is "n. 1. A dirty
slatternly woman. 2. An immoral
woman." Slattern takes us to
slovenly, which is described as "1.
Frequently or habitually unclean or
untidy. 2. Negligent and careless".
So in basic terms if you call someone a
zorra you feel that she is dirty, careless
and immoral.
Immoral, according to this
same dictionary, refers to terms such as
promiscuous, unscrupulous, unethical and
profligate (Wildly extravagant or
wasteful).
It
is no wonder that prostitutes hate this
term. Dirty women do not make good
business women. There is a good chance
that the guy who is using her services has
a partner at home somewhere, and he can
not afford to go with anyone who is
unclean in anyway.
Not only do they have
to contend with the smell (which if dirty
will linger), but also the risk of
disease.
A good prostitute has to make personal hygiene an
important part of her routine, and those that are
professional about what they do, are meticulous
about their own cleanliness and hygiene standards.
A
negligent or careless prostitute, will end
up broke or dead. A cold bare fact I know,
but that is the truth of the matter. A
prostitute has to be meticulous with keeping
her appointments, or she will miss out on
the client.
She has to have a 'safety net'
system in place, namely someone knowing
where she is at all times, and when she is
due to check in. These women are targets for
many degenerates, no 'john'
is worth dying for.

Medical check ups,
makeup and clothing, appointment keeping,
looking after the dollars when they are
made. All this requires attention to detail
- it is just like any other business. The
only difference between a woman working for
her flower business and working as a
prostitute, is that one sells flowers and
the other sells her body. The same business
principles apply. As in any business a woman
can not afford to be negligent or careless.
There will still be some in our society that
would consider that prostitutes are immoral,
promiscuous, unscrupulous, unethical and
wasteful.
Well, every woman of negotiable
virtue I have ever met, always gives value
for money as best she can, so that wipes out
unscrupulous.
She gives sex for money,
that is a fair exchange, there is nothing
unethical about that.
Wasteful, well if
she was she would be a fool. As shown
above, a prostitute needs to have a good
business head on her shoulders and can not
afford to be wasteful.
That
leaves promiscuous. For this term I had to
go back to the faithful dictionary.
Basically, when referring to sex,
promiscuous means "indulging in
casual or indiscriminate sexual
relationships."
Prostitutes do not do
this.

What they do is conduct simple
business transactions. The relationships
involved are of a business nature, not a
sexual relationship. When a prostitute has
sex with her client, there is no feelings
about it, she doesn't expect him to call
her again, or send her flowers. She does
not want any relationship with her
clients, beyond the business transaction.
There
is also nothing indiscriminate about the
choosing of her clientele. Just because
you have the money does not necessarily
mean she will have the time.
Many women will not take on clientele that are, for her own reason, not
acceptable. A lot of women I know don't do Canadians (cheap bastards).
Most working women encourage a regular
clientele, and steer clear of new contacts
unless referred by somebody else (safety
factor).
Most women have their specialties and will not do other things,
no matter how much is paid. I don't know
any women who encourage pedophilia or the
like.
There is nothing indiscriminate
about prostitution.
The bottom line is, that no
term at all that pertains to zorras, can be
used against most prostitutes. I will
admit there are a few that are zorras and
they never last in the business. But there
are a lot of zorras hanging around in bars
all over the world, that never take a dime
for their services.
Prostitutes have the
same type of morals as the majority of us.
They care about their families, are using
the money for survive economically or
bettering themselves in some way. They
make good mothers, teachers, lawyers and
many other professions.
They are providing
a service in the community, despite the
disapproval, and would be sorely missed if
they all decided to quit work.
And
how do I know all this? Because I work as
a prostitute. I am a wife, a mother, a decent
person and a good friend.
No soy Zorra!
